Don’t Make Me!

Please don’t make me write a poem,

I’m begging you please don’t!

Don’t make me write another one,

I’m telling you I won’t!

They say it sounds better when it rhymes,

but sometimes it does not.

Let me write it another time,

I’m tired of writing a lot.

You say, “It’ll be good for me.”

But I keep asking why.

If I write another poem,

I think I might just cry!

So please don’t make me write a poem,

You say it could be fun…

I think I’m having fun right now!

I guess I must be done!
